Why a disk beats digits

Instead of counting down digits, the red disk shows remaining time as a shape. As time passes the disk shrinks clockwise, so one glance tells you how much is left — no math, no squinting.

Visual timers were first designed for kids learning the concept of time, and they are now everywhere: classrooms, homework desks, meetings and deep-work sessions. Wontimer brings that experience to your browser and adds what a physical timer cannot: an automatic record of your focus time.

How to use it

  1. Drag the disk (or press a preset) to set the time.
  2. Press Start or the spacebar. Tapping the center knob also starts and pauses.
  3. When time is up an alarm rings, and the session is added to today’s record.

Focus with Pomodoro

The Pomodoro technique alternates 25 minutes of focus with a 5-minute break, and after four rounds you take a longer 15-minute break. Short sprints keep starting easy, and fixed breaks keep distractions short.

You can change every duration in the Pomodoro tab. Turn on auto-start and focus and breaks will follow each other by themselves.

Frequently asked questions

There's no sound

Wontimer is silent by default — no ticking. You can turn on the alarm and ticking sounds under Sound and display. On phones, check the mute switch: iPhones mute web audio when the silent switch is on.

Is it accurate if I switch to another tab?

Yes. Remaining time is computed from the real clock, so it never drifts while you are in another tab. On supported browsers the screen also stays awake while the timer runs.

Where is my focus history stored?

Only in this browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is shared across devices. Clearing this site’s browser data also clears the history.

What counts toward focus history?

Pomodoro focus phases and time actually elapsed in timer mode. Breaks are excluded. You can exclude timer mode too under Sound and display.

Can I set more than 60 minutes?

Switch the dial scale to 120 minutes under Sound and display to set up to two hours on the disk. The custom input accepts up to 180 minutes.

The alarm is late when the tab stays in the background

The math is based on the real clock, but Chrome may put long-unused tabs to sleep. Pin the tab, or add this site under Chrome settings → Performance → Always keep these sites active.

Can I move my history to another device?

Use Export history to save a file, then Import history on the other device. Duplicate sessions merge automatically.
