Wontimer

About Wontimer

Wontimer is a free web timer that shows the time you have left as a disk. The disk shrinks as the minutes pass, so one look at the screen tells you how much time remains, without reading any numbers.

It runs in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Alongside the plain timer there are Pomodoro cycles, a speech mode with signal colors, soccer and futsal match modes, an always-on-top mini timer, a full-screen focus mode and dark mode.

Who runs Wontimer

Wontimer is operated by Wehahee (representative: Dongha Ko). Dongha Ko designs and builds the timer, writes the guides and reads the messages sent to the address at the bottom of this page. Every guide shows the author and the dates it was published and last updated.

The privacy policy lists the same operator details. Questions about the service, the content or your data all go to that one contact address.

Why Wontimer exists

Physical visual timers, the kind with a colored disk that shrinks as time runs down, are common in classrooms and on desks because they make time something you can see. Nobody has to count or subtract: the size of the disk is the time left. There was nothing that simple for a computer screen, so Wontimer brings it to a browser tab. Open the page, drag the disk to set the time and leave it in a corner of the screen.

One choice is deliberate. Wontimer numbers its face clockwise from 12, like an ordinary clock. Set 15 minutes and the disk fills from 12 to the 3 o'clock position, then its edge moves back toward 12 as the time runs down. Wontimer first launched with the numbers running counterclockwise, as on classic visual timers, but that was hard to read for eyes used to clocks, so the direction changed in September 2026. Now the edge of the disk always points at the minutes left.

What Wontimer holds to

No install and no account. The timer is ready as soon as the page opens, there is nothing to sign up for, and every feature is free.

Your records stay in your browser. Finished focus sessions are saved in this browser's storage only. Wontimer has no server that receives them, and you can export them to a file whenever you like.

Quiet while it runs. The ticking sound stays off until you turn it on, and the end alarm can be set to silent so the whole screen flashes in the disk color when time is up. Browser notifications are requested only when you switch them on in settings.

Time comes from the clock. The time left is calculated from your device's clock, not by counting seconds, so it does not drift when the tab sits in the background.

Ads stay out of the way. When ads are shown, they sit in a few fixed places: below the timer or a guide's heading, between sections of text and at the end of a page. They never go next to the buttons or inside focus mode or the mini timer, and they do not refresh on their own.

How facts are checked

When a page states a fact, it is checked against the original source. Exam timetables come from the exam boards' own notices, match lengths from the official Laws of the Game, and statements about attention, breaks and study habits from published research or guidance from universities and health organizations.

The minute timer pages and the guides end with a list of the sources they used, with links. When a source changes, for example when a new exam timetable is published, the page is corrected.

How Wontimer is looked after

Every change you can see, whether a new feature, a new page or a fix, goes into the update log with the date it went live.

Some fixes start with an email. On October 28, 2026, a problem a user reported was fixed: the mini timer stopped moving when the Wontimer tab was no longer the active tab. The mini timer now updates its own window, so it keeps moving while you work in other tabs.

Before each release, the timer logic and the page content are checked with automated tests. Suggestions and bug reports are welcome at the email below.
